Position Overview

WilmingtoNColor is the only shuttle tour in the world that tells the detailed story of the only successful Coup De Tout on US Soil. At each tour stop, patrons will learn about prominent African American figures in Wilmington’s history. We are currently seeking knowledgeable, professional and friendly tour guides to help us tell this story - by facilitating the tour and providing an exceptional experience.

The role of the tour guide is essential to WilmingtoNColor. If you enjoy leading discussions around historical information and providing outstanding customer service, we invite you to share your talents and skills with WilmingtoNColor.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly study all tour stops and obtain an in-depth understanding

  • Clearly articulate and provide information to guests in an enthusiastic and engaging manner

  • Provide accurate responses to guest inquiries

  • Actively serve as primary facilitator of the tour to include: escorting guests an initiating breaks (as-needed)

  • Consistently displays exceptional “people skills” by demonstrating professionalism and kindness

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required). An Associate or Bachelor’s degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of exceptional customer service experience

  • Public speaking experience is a plus

  • Stellar communication skills

  • Ability to memorize and retain detailed information

  • Strong interpersonal skills

WilmingtoNColor - Shuttle Bus Driver

Position Overview

WilmingtoNColor is the only shuttle tour in the world that tells the detailed story of the only successful Coup De Tout on US Soil. At each tour stop, patrons will learn about prominent African American figures in Wilmington’s history. We are currently seeking a professional and courteous shuttle bus driver to transport our patrons to each tour stop in a safe manner.

The role of the shuttle bus driver is essential to WilmingtoNColor. If you are a candidate with a proven track record of punctuality, good-attendance and strong work ethic- we invite you to apply with WilmingtoNColor.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Timeliness is extremely important - the driver must arrive on time and operate the shuttle according to the defined schedule

  • Obtain clear understanding of tour route and have the ability to adjust to traffic patterns (as-needed)

  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure shuttle bus is presentable for patron use

  • Obey traffic laws and state/federal transit regulations

  • Display exceptional customer service skills. Consistently showcasing professionalism and ensuring guests are satisfied with the tour ride

  • Ensure all passengers are loaded and unloaded from shuttle in a safe manner

Education & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Clean driving record

  • One year of proven commercial driving experience desired, but not required

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to complete tour shift in its entirety

  • Professional and Dependable
